Comic Art for Kids is the 2014 Art Program for children ages 6 to 15 years.
Children’s workshops will be held at Scuola Internazionale di Comics on Saturdays, February 1 through April 12, from 10 am-12 pm.
The cost for the entire series of workshops is $400 with a 10 percent discount for siblings. There are no enrollment fees and workshops can be purchased individually for $40 each.
Young artists will explore drawing techniques, tools and styles in a relaxed, creative environment. Workshops will provide kids an opportunity to learn how to draw with pencil, pen and a wide variety of art materials. They will learn about artistic drawing techniques and art vocabulary unique to cartooning and comic art. Kids will experience comic book discussions and will learn basics of storytelling.
Our programs have been developed to stimulate children’s creativity and their artistic abilities. Our students enjoy the opportunity to explore comic art through creative drawing, cartooning, storytelling, and much more. Our teacher, Douglas, will teach them to explore various techniques like proportion, perspective, basic skills and 3D drawings.
