The comics course is intended to provide students with the necessary professional skills needed to compete on the international publishing market. Starting from the basics of drawing, students shall be able to extend and improve their abilities with respect to narration, direction, graphic and illustration techniques in both analog and digital formats. They will be encounter different styles and publishing sectors in order to acquire the expertise that will make them marketable at the international level.
First year:

-Scenography fundamentals.

Second year:
-Inking techniques: China, brush, nib, Hatching, clear line and b/w
-Narrative genres and documentation: Historical, Horror, Fantasy, Sci-Fi.
-Coloring theory and techniques: Introduction to color (primary, secondary and earth colors); Complementary colors, warm and cold colors; Chiaroscuro and quality contrast; gray colors and shadow management; hue, shade, intensity and color temperature, emotional color (basics of color psychology).
-Animal anatomy and anatomical sketching.
-Storytelling.

Third year (grotesque-humor curriculum):
-Non-covering color techniques: Ecoline and watercolor.
-Covering color techniques: Acrylic and tempera.
-Digital coloring: Photoshop CS6.

Classes will be held four times a week for three hours per day. Two days will be devoted to lectures, while the other two days will be spent in the lab.
